If you are living with sight loss or support someone who is, Torch is here for you. Torch has a unique focus on the spiritual needs of blind and partially sighted people. So whether it’s an accessible Bible or Christian book, encouragement, fellowship or support, they are here to serve you.
Torch stocks a wide range of Christian books, magazines, Bible reading notes and, of course, the Bible itself. They are available in audio, large print or braille. Most of the books are available to borrow from their library. Many items are also available to buy through their shop.
Items in accessible format sold through the shop are sold at the publisher’s recommended retail price (RRP) for the standard-sized version. The library is free to use and there are no postage costs if you buy or borrow a book.
They also offer a transcription service. Worship for All is a free online automated transcription service that enables Christian organisations and churches to provide large print and braille resources for people with sight loss. They also may be able to provide other resources such as liturgy and song sheets. Their charge for this service is based on hours of work required for the project.
