For Faith in Later Life as we serve the church and champion faith in later life across the UK - bringing wisdom, helpful resources, and a voice for older people to our nation.
God of comfort, be near to older people who feel lonely. For those who spend long hours alone, for those who feel forgotten, and for those whose world has grown smaller, we ask for your loving presence to surround them. Bring comfort where there is sadness, and friendship where there is isolation. Help our churches to notice those who may be struggling and to reach out with warmth, kindness, and practical care. May older people know real connection, meaningful companionship, and the reassurance that they are never abandoned by you. Amen.
Lord, we pray for seniors ministries in seaside towns. In places where many older people live, and where loneliness, poor health, or pensioner poverty can be a real issue. Please bring strength and wisdom to churches serving faithfully there. Give leaders and volunteers compassion, perseverance, and joy in their ministry. May older people in seaside communities know they are valued, supported, and invited to find hope, purpose, and life in Jesus. Amen.
Lord, we pray for the work of Faith in Later Life.
Thank you for every opportunity to inspire and equip churches and Christians to reach, disciple, and mobilise older people. Please guide the team with wisdom, strength, and fresh encouragement. Bless every conversation, resource, event, partnership, and connection, and use this ministry to help more older people feel valued, supported, and drawn closer to you. May many churches grow in confidence and vision, and may much lasting fruit come from this work for your glory. Amen.
