Please pray for churches reaching, discipling and mobilising older people in our cities, where loneliness can sometimes be overlooked, and communities can feel fragmented. Pray for gospel-shaped welcome, strong partnerships, and practical love that helps older people flourish.
For open doors and trusted relationships in estates, tower blocks and neighbourhoods
For volunteers, leaders and sustainable teams
For wise signposting around poverty, bereavement, care needs and housing pressures
For older people to encounter Jesus, find belonging, and be discipled
Please pray for older people who are excluded by a an increasingly ‘digital’ world — banking, GP appointments, benefits, bills, travel and even staying in touch. Digital exclusion can deepen anxiety, isolation, and a sense of being left behind.
For confidence to grow and fear to lessen when learning new tools
For patient, kind support from family, churches, neighbours and community groups
For affordable access to training, devices, data and reliable internet
For safe use of technology and protection from scams and exploitation
Please pray for the seniors-focused Easter events being planned at this time - lunches, coffee mornings, services, outreach visits to homes and care homes. Pray that these gatherings would be full of warmth, dignity and hope, and that many would experience the love of Christ.
For clear planning, strong publicity, and a joyful welcome on the day
