Virtual Event
In this session hear about some of the practical ways you can develop a church community that is welcoming and supportive of those living with dementia. We will explore how dementia affects people, how to keep relationships going, and what a faith community can do to be inclusive of people living with dementia.
Event date January 22nd, 2026
Speaker: Sophie Duncan
Suitable for people who are wanting to create a dementia friendly church, including people just starting out, and those who are already on the journey. It would also be suitable for people who are exploring how to maintain faith relationships as someone goes through different stages of dementia or those with a dementia diagnosis. Please note this is an introductory session.
Sophie Duncan is an ordinand in the Diocese of Bristol and has recently completed an MA in practical theology at Sarum College, focusing on dementia and faith.
