Church Champions: Fundraising

Providing for the future

As Church Champions, you are a key part of how Faith in Later Life seeks to fulfill its mission of encouraging and equipping Christians to reach, serve and empower older people in every community. We are always so encouraged to hear your stories of how you have been supporting and championing older people, and when you have been blessed and helped by the training and resources we share with you online, via email or social media and in our monthly Zoom sessions.

But we want to do more! We want to grow our Church Champion community and provide you with more resources, training and advice to better support you in your work. We want to strengthen our influence and impact at a local level, so that even more older people in the wider community are reached and engaged, with the love of Jesus. Will you help us?

Through prayer and provision, we want to double our Church Champion network. To continue to grow we need funding, and we are thankful for the organisations that support us, and for the grant funding we have also received. But we also need your help so we can continue to grow and bless older people. Would you come alongside and help us achieve this and fundraise £50 to help us meet this goal? We know some of you already fundraise for us and we are so grateful.

Here are some ways you could fundraise

Online:

  • Organise a fun quiz and ask attendees to pay £2 entry.
  • Set up a fundraiser on your Facebook page.
  • If you have a skill, why not do a virtual tutorial? It could be baking, flower arranging, crafting or even a workout!

In person:

  • Organise a bake sale at your church or in the community.
  • Run a competition or raffle.
  • If you are sports-inclined, how about a sponsored run, walk or cycle?

Or if you would rather, you can just donate £50. You can do this in installments if easier. It works out at 96p per week!

Thank you for your support! If you would like to discuss any of this with us, do get in touch at [email protected]
