Dementia Friendly Church with Sophie Duncan

In this session hear about some of the practical ways you can develop a church community that is welcoming and supportive of those living with dementia. We will explore how dementia affects people, how to keep relationships going, and what a faith community can do to be inclusive of people living with dementia.
Suitable for people who are wanting to create a dementia friendly church, including people just starting out, and those who are already on the journey. It would also be suitable for people who are exploring how to maintain faith relationships as someone goes through different stages of dementia or those with a dementia diagnosis. Please note this is an introductory session.
You can join us at either 1:30pm or at 7:30pm on Thursday 22nd January for this event.
Register here for FREE for either of the above sessions.

Sophie has experience of walking alongside people living with dementia in church and care contexts. She has recently completed an MA in practical theology exploring the role of worship services in supporting people living with dementia in care contexts.
