Christmas Ideas For My Neighbour

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news
that will cause great joy for all the people"
Luke 2:10
Celebrating the birth of Jesus at Christmas provides Christians with a unique opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others. Many of our neighbours who have no faith at all will be celebrating too and this provides us with opportunities to celebrate with them, and to invite them to celebrate with us too.
What Can I Do?
Hope Together's Gift Of Christmas
This beautifully illustrated Christmas gift book is a lovely gift to share with neighbours and read with care home residents. It unpacks the traditions of Christmas from Christmas puddings to Carol singing, leading the reader through to see the essential heart of Christmas - Jesus Christ.

Knitted Angels From on High
We know that many of you are keen knitters. Some of you might knit in clubs, others on the settee with the radio on, and some even knit during the sermon each Sunday! Wherever and whenever you knit, why not join with many others around the country who gift their neighbours and neighbourhoods knitted angels for Christmas. They can be big or small, as simple of as complicated as you like.
We recently spoke with a member of Frinton Free Church which has knitted hundreds of angels to give to local care home residents. Why not start with just one. You can download a pattern here.
